Minecraft

Minecraft is a sandbox building independent video game written in Java originally by Swedish creator Markus “Notch” Persson and now by his company, Mojang, formed from the proceeds of the game. It was released on May 17, 2009, with a beta version on December 20, 2010. Official releases for iOS and Android are currently in development to be released later in 2011 along with a full version of the game; the Android release was temporarily exclusive to the Xperia Play but is now available to the rest of the Android market. A version of the game for the Xbox 360 with Kinect support is under development by 4J Studios.

The game is focused on creativity and building, allowing players to build constructions out of textured cubes in a 3D world. The game has two variants – free Classic and paid Beta. Classic is focused entirely on construction with unlimited material supply, whereas Beta has two modes: Survival requires players to acquire resources themselves and keep their health and hunger up, whereas in Creative the player has an unlimited supply of resources. Both Beta modes contain many more features than Classic, as well as the addition of mobs. The gameplay is heavily inspired by Infiniminer by Zachtronics Industries,[7] Dwarf Fortress by Bay 12 Games and Dungeon Keeper by Bullfrog Productions.

The game is currently in development and Beta is the only continuously updated version of the game. Minecraft was developed for about a week before its public release on May 17, 2009, on the TIGSource forums, where it gained a considerable level of popularity. It has been continually updated and patched since then, and while it was still in alpha release, it garnered several hundred thousand sales and received critical notice and acclaim from many reviewers. It passed a million units sold on January 12, 2011, less than a month after reaching Beta. By November 7, 2011, the game had sold 4,000,000 units.

Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood is a Western themed first-person shooter video game set in the years of 1864-1866. Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood was announced on January 14, 2009  and uses the Chrome Engine 4, the fourth generation of Techland’s game engine. [Citation needed] Developed by Techland and published by Ubisoft, it is a prequel to Call of Juarez that debuted in 2006 on PC and 2007 on the Xbox 360. The game was released on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360  on June 30, 2009.

The story begins with Ray and Thomas pointing their guns at each other. William laments on how things degenerated between them to the point of them becoming mortal enemies. Flash to several years ago, Ray and Thomas are fighting in the American Civil War. After they defeat the enemy, they are ordered to retreat to Jonesboro. They refuse, deserting their posts to save their home from Union troops. When they arrive, they find their mother dead. Ray promises to rebuild their house, and knowing their superior Colonel Barnsby will not let them off, they flee, taking their young brother, William, with them.
One year later, after an altercation with the sheriff of Fort Smith, Arkansas, which leads to his death, The McCalls decide to head to Mexico to find the Lost Treasure of Cortez, with the intent of using it to rebuild their home. Later, while in a Mexican saloon, a woman named Marisa catches Ray’s attention. After coming to her aid when she is harassed by some of the saloon’s patrons, the McCalls are invited to dinner at her home, which they accept. There, it is revealed that she is the mistress of Juan “Juarez” Mendoza, the most notorious criminal in Mexico. She flirts with Ray and leads him on when he says he would kill Juarez for her. After the meal, Juarez lets them in on his plan to find the treasure, promising them a share of it if they help him. He first asks the McCalls to take out a man named Devlin, who is also going after the treasure.
Elsewhere, an Apache tribe is discussing making war on “the white people”. Their leader, Running River, orders his son, Seeing Farther, to obtain over 300 rifles for the tribe. Meanwhile, the McCalls return to Juarez after killing Devlin. Juarez orders the brothers to meet up with the Apaches to exchange the rifles for a medallion they possess, which he states is the key to finding the treasure. Before the McCalls set off, Thomas confronts Marisa and she reveals her love for him, which he reciprocates.
At the meeting place, they find that Juarez’s gun runner has been jailed after being captured by the Pinkertons. The McCalls proceed to break him out of jail and deliver him to Juarez. There, the gun runner reveals himself to be Colonel Barnsby, having worn bandages covering his whole head. In what was supposed to be a meeting with Juarez at an abandoned mine, Barnsby and his men ambush the brothers and tie them up. William manages to free himself, Ray, and Thomas. They escape the mine and manage to catch up with Juarez and Marisa in Comanche Territory. The Apaches eventually confront Juarez, revealing that William told Seeing Farther about the rifles being useless. The McCalls and Marisa are taken back to the village, and Seeing Farther agrees to help them find the medallion. They then infiltrate Navajo territory and recover the medallion.
Upon their return, Seeing Farther formulates a plan to get Marisa and William out of the camp by asking Ray and Thomas to distract the Apache tribe while he teaches William how to use the medallion. When Ray confronts Thomas about this, he reveals his relationship with Marisa, sparking a fight between the two, effectively distracting the tribe and tearing the brothers apart. The plan backfires, however, when Barnsby’s army locates the brothers and destroys the Indian village leaving only the chief and Seeing Farther alive. Seeing Farther, William and Marisa are taken hostage and will only be returned upon trade of the medallion. Ray and Thomas decide to rescue them, but Ray says that once they’re finished, he never wants to see Thomas again. The brothers defeat Barnsby’s men but by the time they reach Seeing Farther, he is already mortally wounded. Dying, he states that William and Marisa are still alive, captured by Juarez.
Juarez interrogates William about using the Medallion. He refuses to speak, which only aggravates Juarez further. Juarez orders his men to kill him and Marisa pleads for his life. At the same time, Ray and Thomas infiltrate Juarez’s camp separately. Thomas finds Marisa and she convinces him to escape with her, revealing she also knows how to use the Medallion. Meanwhile, Ray rescues William and defeats Juarez, realizing that Thomas has left with Marisa.
Ray tracks Thomas and Marisa to the treasure vault. The brothers face each other as they did at the start of the story. William moves between them and declares he won’t allow Ray to shoot Thomas.Ray shoots William, realizing later he was only reaching for his Bible. William collapses and dies, his Bible landing at Barnsby’s feet who remarks that it seems the treasure really is cursed. A trap is triggered, causing the chamber to fill with sand, forcing the McCalls to move to higher ground, fending off Barnsby’s men as they proceed. Eventually, the McCalls confront Barnsby and kill him.The McCalls, together with Marisa, decide to abandon the treasure.William’s sacrifice compels Ray to become a priest, and he carries William’s Bible. Later, Thomas weds Marisa.Call of Juarez Bound in Blood box.jpg

Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock (initially referred to as Guitar Hero 6 or Guitar Hero VI) is a music video game and the sixth main entry in the Guitar Hero series for the PlayStation 3, Wii, and Xbox 360 consoles. The game was released September 24, 2010 in Europe, September 28, 2010 in North America and September 29, 2010 in Australia. It is the last game in the series to be developed by RedOctane and Neversoft prior to dissolution and closures by their parent company and publisher Activision, in part as a result of weak sales in the rhythm game market from 2009. Additional development for the Wii version with some Nintendo DS functionality was provided by Vicarious Visions who were to take over future development of the Guitar Hero series before it was placed on hiatus.
Warriors of Rock retains the core gameplay feature of the Guitar Hero series, challenging players to match scrolling notes on screen to actions on special game controllers for lead and bass guitar, drums, and vocals. To counter the weakening rhythm game market and the perceived lack of focus of its predecessors, Warriors of Rock was designed to return to the series’ roots, focusing heavily on lead guitar and towards the existing base of skilled players of the series. The game features a remade career mode called “Quest” set to a story influenced by heavy metal and narrated by Gene Simmons. Through Quest mode, the player recruits eight characters each with their own unique power that slightly alters how the core note-matching game is played, leading to combined powers that they use to free the Demigod of Rock from enslavement from a metal machine called the Beast . Part of the story is influenced by the lyrics of the song “2112″ by Rush, who narrate this portion of the game, while the finale is set to a new song performed by Megadeth and written by Dave Mustaine specifically to challenge Guitar Hero players. Other single and multiplayer modes feature improvements from previous games in the series as well as incorporation of the new gameplay powers from Quest mode. The game features 93 songs on disc, and compatibility with existing exportable songs and downloadable content from several previous games in the Guitar Hero series.
The game received mixed reviews from gaming journalists, praising certain highlights such as the “2112″ segment and the game’s improved Quickplay + mode, but citing other elements as lackluster as the Quest mode’s story or the lack of focus within the soundtrack.Initial shipments of Warriors of Rock contained Soundgarden’s compilation album Telephantasm; as a result, the album became the first to be assigned a Platinum rating by the Recording Industry Association of America through its tie-in with the game.

CALL OF DUTY MW3

File:Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 box art.png

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (abbreviated as Call of Duty: MW3) is an upcoming first-person shooter video game currently in development by Infinity Ward with assisted development from Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software co-developing multiplayer development. It will be the third installment in the Modern Warfare series, and the eighth Call of Duty installment in total.

Infinity Ward revealed that Modern Warfare 3 will feature a new survival mode. The new mode will feature up to two players fighting level after level of increasingly difficult enemies. Unlike other video games where enemies spawn at fixed locations, the enemies in this mode will spawn around the player so that they can approach the player from a tactically advantageous location. As players fight off enemies, they will be earning cash. More cash is earned for scoring headshots, having high accuracy and taking less damage overall. For each kill, they can use their money to purchase items such as new weapons, upgrades and ammo. Another example to earn more cash is by consecutively killing enemies quickly: killing one enemy and then another one after a prolonged time period will no longer be as rewarding as killing two enemies in quick succession. The new mode will be integrated from the game’s multiplayer maps, meaning that all multiplayers maps may be played with a partner in the survival mode.
Development

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was known to be in development after a legal dispute between Infinity Ward co-founders Jason West and Vince Zampella and Activision resulted in the pair being fired from the company. Several Infinity Ward employees followed West and Zampella as a result of the ongoing dispute, causing Activision to enlist the services of Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software to assist development of the title.
On May 13, 2011, four teaser trailers were released on the official Call of Duty YouTube page, separately titled “America”, “England”, “France” and “Germany”, indicating the various locales of the game. The same day, video game website Kotaku leaked information about the game, confirming that it would be a direct sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, as well details regarding weapons, levels and modes found in the game.
On May 23, 2011, Activision released the first gameplay trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on YouTube ahead of its official premiere during the NBA Western Conference Finals.
On May 31, 2011, Activision announced Call of Duty Elite, a brand new social service for the Call of Duty community to track and compare statistics, create videos and access premium content. The service will be fully integrated into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and will launch to coincide with the game’s release.
On June 6, 2011, 11:00 AM (PDT), the first live gameplay demo of Modern Warfare 3 was presented by Robert Bowling and Glen Schofield at E3 2011.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is the third game in the Uncharted series, created by Naughty Dog for the PlayStation 3, and due for release in North America on November 1, 2011, Europe on November 4, 2011 and Australia on Q4 2011. It is the sequel to Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. It was first announced on December 9, 2010.  Officially it was announced at the 2010 Spike Video Game Awards with a debut trailer, which was on December 11, 2010 .  The worldwide demo of the game was premiered on the American late-night talk show, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on December 14, 2010.
Uncharted 3 will see protagonist Nathan Drake and mentor Victor Sullivan, travelling around the world  to such places as the Rub ‘al Khali desert, in search of the legendary lost city, the Iram of the Pillars. Chloe Frazer and Elena Fisher will also return in Uncharted 3. The plot will draw from the archaeology days of T. E. Lawrence.
DevelopmentCreative director Amy Hennig has explained that the desire for a desert-themed Uncharted stemmed from wanting to push the team creatively and technologically, as “organic” elements such as sand, water, and fire are “technically difficult to credibly render with animation”.

New features in Uncharted 3 will include “enhanced backward climbing”, automatic ammunition pickup, and the ability to fight multiple enemies at once. Enemy AI is improved, providing the ability for enemies to form squads.  Multiplayer and co -op features will also be greatly expanded.  It will also support stereoscopic 3D.
Game director Justin Richmond explained that the game will feel more open than other Uncharted games. “We’re not an open-world game, we’re never going to be an open-world game. It’s still up in the air how much gameplay we’re going to let you wander around. But we’re never going to let you just ride a thousand miles off into the middle of nowhere. Ultimately the feel we want to get is, yeah, you’re lost in the desert. So it needs to feel like that. But it’s not going to feel open-world .

Naughty Dog said “A Great Move game is a game made around Move and we started Uncharted long before that. It would be very difficult for us to adjust it. We tried a couple of things but it wasn’t making a lot of sense.
Naughty Dog community strategist, Arne Meyer, has said that Uncharted 3 is created like a Hollywood film. The Uncharted series has received praise for its movie-like sections, which Naughty Dog hopes to continue to work on.

God of War III

God of War III is an action-adventure video game for PlayStation 3, developed by Sony Santa Monica, published by Sony Computer Entertainment and released worldwide in March 2010 and is the fifth installment to the series. Loosely based on Greek mythology and focused on protagonist Kratos, the game forms part of a saga – the God of War series – with vengeance as a central theme.
In this final chapter in the current storyline, Kratos and his initial allies the Titans storm Mount Olympus in an attempt to kill Zeus and the Olympian Gods, leading to a series of confrontations across the Underworld and Olympus and the reintroduction of Pandora’s Box.

God of War III features gameplay similar to previous installments. The player controls the character Kratos in a combination of first-person/third-person combat (including quick-time), platforming and puzzle game elements. Kratos’ main weapons are the Blades of Exile (initially the Blades of Athena), with other new weapons including the Claws of Hades, the Nemean Cestus and the Nemesis Whip. The Nemean Cestus (a pair of fist gauntlets) and Item the Bow of Apollo are crucial as they are required to advance through certain stages of the game.Unlike the previous games in the series, the primary weapons also dictate the use of magic, with each weapon having an individual magic ability: Divine Reckoning (Blades of Athena), Army of Sparta (Blades of Exile), Soul Summon (Claws of Hades), Nemean Roar (Nemean Cestus) and Nemesis Rage (Nemesis Whip). The power of each magic ability increases via upgrading the weapon to which each is linked (excluding the temporary Divine Reckoning).Kratos also has an array of secondary weapons referred to as Items that have limited usage before needing recharging (which occurs automatically), being the Bow of Apollo, Head of Helios and Boots of Hermes. The relics Poseidon’s Trident, the Golden Fleece, and Icarus Wings that were acquired in previous games are automatically retained. The Blade of Olympus is also retained but is no longer a primary weapon, being now utilized in conjunction with the special magic feature, “The Rage of Sparta.” The Rage of Sparta is the equivalent to the Rage of the Gods and Rage of the Titans from God of War and God of War II, respectively, and provides temporary invulnerability and increased attack damage. The Blade of Olympus is also used in several cut scenes to provide the finishing move on several foes and is used as the magic ability for the Blades of Athena.Kratos also acquires another “passive” item similar to Poseidon’s Trident: Hades’ Soul, which allows Kratos to swim in the River Styx without being attacked by lost souls.Health and Magic upgrades—Gorgon Eyes and Phoenix Feathers respectively—reappear, although in this instance, only three (as opposed to the original six) items need to be found for an upgrade. Minotaur Horns have also been added as a possible find and upgrade the charge for Items. All three upgrades are found in a style of chest that differs from normal Health and magic-giving chests, unlike the previous games.Almost all upgraded weapons and magic acquired in previous games are gone at the beginning of gameplay, with Kratos only retaining the fully upgraded Blades of Athena, the Golden Fleece, Icarus Wings, and the Blade of Olympus. The Blades of Athena and Blade of Olympus are lost after the first main battle. The Blades of Athena, however, are replaced by the Blades of Exile and the Blade of Olympus is eventually recovered. Many of the familiar combination attacks reappear, with the new additions including the combat grapple; a ranged “grab” maneuver that depending on the weapon can either pull Kratos towards foes or forces them away (necessary at certain points in the game, with Kratos effectively “riding” harpies across chasms), and a simple grab with bare hands that allows Kratos to use lesser foes as a battering ram. Kratos can also rapidly switch between weapons (eventually all four primary weapons) in battle and continue the same attack combination.Other changes include an increase in the number of enemies onscreen, increasing from 15 to a maximum of 50.[5] During several major battles the camera also pans out away from the fight sequence, although the player can still control Kratos while the camera is panning to add a new level of gameplay.[6]Game director Stig Asmussen claimed that the hardware capabilities of the PlayStation 3 allow more flexibility in creating the characters of God of War III and allow for further interaction with the environment. Christer Ericson of SCE Santa Monica Studio announced on his Twitter page that God of War III has seamless loading (no Loading screens and No HDD installation requirement).[7]The sex mini-game included in previous installments returns (an encounter with goddess Aphrodite while her two servants watch), although on this occasion, it links into the story. Other extra features includes the addition of 10 “godly possessions”, which are often hidden near foes and provide additional abiliities during bonus play. The game also features 36 Trophies, which are awarded for Kratos’ achievements (e.g. “Releasing the Floodgates” for killing Poseidon). Upon obtaining the platinum trophy, players are linked to the website, spartansstandtall.com. On May 4, 2010, it was revealed that the site was a teaser and the official site for the second PSP title in the franchise, God of War: Ghost of Sparta. As with previous game installments, a challenge mode is included (seven trials called the “Challenge of Olympus”). A bonus challenge mode was included in both the Ultimate and Ultimate Trilogy Editions of the game called the “Challenge of Exile”, with an extra seven challenges (now available on the PlayStation Store). A new mode called the “Combat Arena”[8] is also included in all versions, with the player able to create their own battles and set the level of difficulty. Stig Asmussen stated more challenges may be added as downloadable content to maintain the series.

that game realy rock if i were you i will run to buy it now :)
